Title of the position: Landscaping Supervisor
Cedar Creek Property Services is a successful 10-year-old company focussed on landscaping and property management services to corporate clients and large residential strata developments.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
1)Client Landscape Projects
• Outdoor landscape job site supervision of team members.
• Clearly assigning appropriate staffing duties and managing achievement of desired objectives.
• Ensuring job completion in a timely fashion.
• Anticipating client expectations and managing outcomes to ensure client satisfaction.
• Managing onsite seasonal priorities.
• Lead by example and maximize on the job training opportunities.
2) Indoor landscape sites
• Oversight and management of indoor landscape sites.
• Developing and assigning appropriate staff duties.
• Scheduling of seasonal tasks such as fertilizing, invasive specie control etc.
• Attend to the servicing of automated water distribution systems for living walls.
• Research new and exceptional plants for Indoor systems for applicability, health and ease of maintenance.
3) System Design and Implementation
• Work with the President to prioritize, review and subsequently design systems and processes to automate activities and functions.
• Lead the implementation of new systems/procedures in the field to achieve efficiencies.
• Immediate projects for development in 2026:
• Cedar Creek’s safety plan to form our adherence to the federal/provincial National Safety Code (NSC) for the safe operation of commercial vehicles in Canada.
• Managing inventory and maintenance schedule for 7 trucks, 5 trailers and 3 storage facilities. This will include managing secured access for 40 staff members, regular preventative maintenance schedules, and booking and tracking third party repairs as required.
• Managing tool and equipment resources onsite. This will include ensuring tool availability, functional performance, regular maintenance and repair.
• Site Management projects including digitizing plant and tree inventory and maintenance schedules
Skills Capabilities/Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related property services
• Completion of secondary school
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coordinate, and lead landscaping work crews in outdoor and indoor environments
• Experience in assigning tasks, monitoring work performance, and ensuring completion of projects in a timely manner
• Knowledge of landscaping practices, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, lawn care, and seasonal maintenance
• Experience with indoor plant maintenance systems and irrigation systems is an asset
• Ability to train and guide staff on work procedures, safety practices, and job responsibilities
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate workflow and resolve work-related issues
• Ability to manage materials, tools, and equipment, including inventory tracking and maintenance
• Basic computer proficiency for scheduling, reporting, and operational coordination
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to actively participate in fieldwork when required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and client service
Terms of employment: Permanent full time
Language of work – English
Wages: $36.60/hourly, full time, permanent position – 30-40 hours per week
