Job Description
DUTIES:
•Operate company vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver packages, documents, freight, and other shipments.
•Pick up and deliver shipments between customers, businesses and designated delivery locations, including local and regional destinations.
•Plan delivery routes and schedules to ensure shipments are delivered safely and within required timeframes.
•Load, secure and unload packages, freight and other cargo from delivery vehicles.
•Check shipments and delivery documentation to confirm the correct items and delivery destinations.
•Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
•Obtain signatures or proof of delivery and maintain accurate records of completed pickups and deliveries.
•Communicate with dispatch regarding pickup requests, delivery schedules, route changes, delays and other delivery-related matters.
•Record vehicle mileage, fuel usage and delivery information and report any incidents or problems encountered during deliveries.
•Handle and transport shipments in accordance with company procedures, including dangerous goods where applicable.

Requirements:
•Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
•Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
•Ability to safely lift and move boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 50–80 lbs.
•Ability to drive safely along the Sea-to-Sky Highway between the Lower Mainland, Squamish, and Burnaby, including during winter weather conditions.
•Ability to handle deliveries carefully, including potentially dangerous goods, in accordance with applicable safety and transportation requirements.
•Transportation of dangerous goods (TGD) certification required
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Availability to work early-morning shifts and meet scheduled delivery deadlines.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
