Cook Full Time

The Lokal Kitchen Express family is seeking one (1) Cook to join our expanding team at our Blackfalds, Alberta location. Lokal Kitchen is a multiple family owned and operated full function restaurant with an extensive menu of signature Korean dishes and Canadian fusion food items. We are a one-of-a-kind Korean fusion restaurant especially known for our house battered Korean friend chicken – boasted as the best fried chicken in Alberta. This position is a full-time permanent position in the English language.

Job duties include:
-Prepare and cook complete meals from a restaurant menu
-Prepare and cook meals with variations depending on customer needs
-Oversee and manage kitchen operations
-Assist with planning menus and determining food requirements and cost
-Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
-Order supplies and equipment for kitchen as required
-Clean and maintain cooking surfaces and cooking tools
-Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers where required

Education:
-Secondary high school diploma. Post-secondary education in cooking or culinary is an asset.

Experience:
-2 to 3 years direct experience
-Experience in fusion cuisine international and Korean is an asset

Salary: $18.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week
