Job Description

Jatinderpal Singh is seeking a caring, responsible, organized and reliable Child Caregiver to provide childcare services at a private residence in Calgary, Alberta.

This opportunity is suitable for individuals interested in working with children, including young applicants who are looking to develop their professional skills and gain practical experience in childcare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and caring for children, maintaining a safe and healthy home environment, assisting with daily routines, preparing nutritious meals and supporting children’s personal hygiene, social development and emotional well-being.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and provide daily care for children.

Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.

Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment for children.

Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Discipline children according to the methods and instructions provided by parents.

Assist children with personal hygiene and social development.

Organize age-appropriate activities, games and outings.

Support children’s emotional well-being and daily needs.

Employment Requirements

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Previous childcare experience is an asset but not mandatory.

Ability to communicate in English.

Knowledge of Punjabi is an asset.

Must be organized, reliable, responsible and caring.

Ability to follow parents’ instructions and work independently.
