Canada Adds New ‘Safe’ Countries to List for Asylum Seekers

In an effort to streamline its asylum system, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has added new countries to its list of Designated Countries of Origin (DCOs). As of May 31, 2013, there will be 37 countries on the DCO list.
