Terraforma Systems was established in 2021, born out of the False Creek Flats Industrial District in Vancouver, British Columbia, a district where organizations financially thrive by sharing and reusing resources. We knew that the fastest way to transition organizations from a linear economic model to a circular one, would be to create solutions that would be in their best financial interest.

With that criteria in mind, we designed a waste management ecosystem of products and services that help organizations divert waste and reduce their climate impact, as well as bolster their balance sheet.

Job duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal
segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas
metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal
arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW).
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal
straightening and bending machines
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
• Poly and FRP tank mould, RotoMold, and FRP Machine welding
maintenance and repair.
• Other misc. jobs on the manufacturing floor as needed
• May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications.

Key skills/Qualifications:
● A certificate or apprenticeship program equivalent to a Canadian apprenticeship in welding and fabrication (Minimum 5 years experience)
● Mechanical experience is preferred
● Strong knowledge and skill in operating all welding machinery, ability to weld according to pre-set parameters using MIG, ARC and TIG welding processes
● A positive attitude
● Strong safety mindset
● Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
● At least two job references
● Read drawings
● TIG welding Stainless Steel
● MAW welding Stainless and mild steel
● Oxy acetylene burning
● Good fit up, gets things square and lined up
● Team player: pitch in to help wherever needed

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full time
Language of work: English
Wage: $78,000 (annually), full time, permanent position – 40 hours per week
Requirements: Certificate/diploma in welder and fabrication

Proposed Compensation:
Three (3) weeks vacation annually
