Shellfish Processing Labourer Temporary

NOCA Canadian Seafood Buyer Inc dba Suncoast Seafood is looking for dynamic and self-starter individuals to join our team.

Seasonal Positions.

As a Shellfish Processing Labourer your main duties will be:

Unload Lobster and shellfish from vessels and transport them by hand or forklift truck to the work area.
Move bags, stickers or other materials needed for lobster or shellfish packaging.
Weigh Lobster or shellfish, record weight and pack in ice.
Clean machines and immediate work areas.
Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
Sort Lobster or shellfish according to size, weight and destination.
Check products and packaging for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as required.
Disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing.
Set up and operate machines to can, bag, box or otherwise package Lobster and seafood products.
Record production information.
Cut, clean and trim Lobster or seafood prior to marketing or further processing.
Clean and maintain workspace.
Cut sections according to specifications and place in a container for weighing.

Wage

$16/hr – $18.50/hr

Over Time required.

30 to 65 hours/week
