Job Description and Qualifications:
The Indian Bawarchi Inc. is an authentic Indian restaurant situated in St. John’s, NL, renowned for its traditional cuisine. Our restaurant offers classic dishes, dosas, curries, and South Indian specialties in a culturally rich setting. Our staff comprises of seasoned professionals dedicated to excellent customer service and delivering genuine Indian flavours. We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to join our expanding team.
Job Duties:

• Plan, organize, direct, and control daily restaurant operations;
• Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate staff;
• Manage inventory levels, order food and supplies, and control costs;
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations;
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally;
• Monitor sales performance and prepare operational reports;
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff as required;
• Develop and implement operational policies and service standards; and
• Be able to work evenings, flexible hours, on call, days, weekends.

Skills (education, experience):
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management
• Secondary education is not required but preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the food service sector including supervisory experience
• Indian restaurant setting work experience is highly preferred

Language of Work: English

Wage: $18.00 /hour

Hours: Minimum 30 hours
