Claudio’s Ristorante is a locally renowned Italian restaurant offering a warm, authentic dining experience in Burnaby. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant and Food Service Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations, including arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
• Adjust food preparation techniques and menu pricing to align with the restaurant’s budget constraints
• Prepare daily reports
• Hire, train, and manage front-of-house and kitchen staff
• Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels for peak times
• Maintain and control inventory; monitor revenues and operating costs
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
• Negotiate arrangements with food and beverage suppliers
• Ensure full compliance with health, food safety, and licensing regulations

Job Requirements:
• Several years of experience in the food service industry, with supervisory or management experience
• Post-secondary education in hospitality management or a related field preferred
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Serving It Right certification required by the start of employment
• Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail and client focus
• Reliable, organized, and a strong team player
