Job Description:
Stand on a mechanical processing line and inspect poultry to ensure product quality and compliance with processing standards.
Skin, clean, trim and wash poultry carcasses for further processing or packaging.
Eviscerate poultry by removing viscera and other inedible parts during manual and line processing.
Use knives and hand tools to debone poultry and remove skin, excess fat, bruises and other blemishes from carcasses or meat portions.
Remove feathers, singe and wash poultry as part of the processing line.
Harvest chicken feet and complete final trimming and finishing of poultry parts.
Rehang processed chickens for transfer to the second processing line.
Monitor and operate processing equipment such as the MPIP and vent gun in a safe and efficient manner.
Cut meat and poultry into specific portions for institutional, commercial and wholesale use.
Receive direction from the Supervisor and assist in organizing work among a small production line team.
Ensure the production line is operating safely, efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary: $24.00 hourly, 37 – 42 Hours per week.

Requirements
Education Level: Some secondary school is an asset
Experience: On-the-job training will be provided. Previous experience working in a food-processing environment is considered an asset, but it is not required.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Thorough, detail orientated, must be able to stand for a long period of time.
Work site environment: Indoors with a normal temperature, strong smell of poultry.
Personal suitability: Detailed, Flexibility, Team player, Reliability.
