Key responsibilities (Aligned to NOC 00014)
Plan, direct, and evaluate the overall operations of a multi-service organization operating in trade, retail, transportation, logistics, accommodation, and service industries
Establish, implement, and oversee organizational policies, strategic objectives, and operational standards across all business units
Allocate and control human, financial, and material resources to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery
Provide senior leadership and direction to managers, supervisors, and key personnel
Develop, manage, and monitor operational and capital budgets and approve financial and operational reports
Ensure full compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations, including employment standards, health and safety, transportation, and financial controls
Oversee human resources strategy, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, training, and succession planning
Lead negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
Establish policies for procurement, inventory control, transportation, storage, and logistics
Evaluate financial, operational, and organizational risks and implement mitigation strategies
Support business development, sales growth, and service expansion initiatives
Represent the organization with external partners, regulators, community stakeholders, and service providers
Ensure continuity of essential services in a remote, road-inaccessible First Nations community with limited local labour availability
