We are currently looking for someone to join our team as Office Manager who will have responsibility for the following:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school office. This includes monitoring and purchasing office supplies, managing office budgets, ensuring the office equipment is properly maintained, and that administrative processes are efficient and effective.
2. Supervise office staff, including administrative assistants and other office personnel. This may involve scheduling, task assignment, performance evaluations, and professional development support.
3. Act as a key point of contact within the school for parents, teachers, students, and other staff. This includes handling inquiries, providing information, and ensuring effective communication between all parties.
4. Oversee the maintenance of accurate and organized school records, including student attendance, grades, and disciplinary actions in accordance with Ontario education regulations.
5. Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, and special events as needed. This can include arranging venues, sending out meeting invites, and preparing meeting minutes or other documentation.
6. Implement school policies and procedures and ensure they are followed. You might also assist in developing these policies and procedures when necessary.
7. Act as the liaison between the school and the school board or district, providing necessary reports and information as required and ensuring compliance with any district-wide policies.
8. Ensure the office’s operations and processes comply with health and safety regulations and any applicable laws in Ontario. This could involve coordinating drills, managing visitor protocols, and maintaining emergency contact lists.
9. Support the principal and teachers in school initiatives and events, such as parent-teacher conferences, school functions, and fundraising activities.
10. Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information related to students, staff, and school operations.
11. May perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
1. A university degree or college diploma in business is preferred
2. 2 Years of related work experience is required
3. Self-motivated and keen to learn new skills
4. Good communication skills and ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
5. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
6. Efficient with Microsoft Office
Terms
1. Salary is $27.50/Hour
2. Working hours per week is 30
3. Annual salary is $42,900
4. Permanent Full-Time
