Job Duties
The nanny will be responsible for providing high-quality care to a one-year-old child in a
private household. The parents have demanding work schedules, including frequent travel for
work, including international travel, which requires reliable and flexible childcare support.
Thus, the role requires flexibility to meet the family's needs, which may include early
mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight, and holidays.
Main Responsibilities:
Supervise and care for the child in the household, ensuring safety and well-being at all
times.
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, diaper changes, and formula
preparation, as needed.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary requirements
and parents' instructions.
Maintain a safe, healthy home environment by implementing all safety protocols
established by the parents.
Support the child's development through age-appropriate educational activities, games,
crafts, reading, and outings.
Oversee the child's daily activities, including meals, rest periods, and play, as instructed
by the parents.
Support the child's emotional well-being and social development through positive
interaction and guidance.
Implement discipline using methods approved by the parents.
Maintain detailed records of daily activities, meals, sleep, behaviour, and health
information.
Report health concerns to the parents immediately.
Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child's care, including laundry and
cleaning the child's room and play areas.
Instruct the child in age-appropriate personal hygiene practices.
May need to help arrange and manage transportation for appointments and scheduled
activities.
May need to accompany the child and parents on domestic and international travel,
maintaining the child's routine and care standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: No formal education required.
Experience: 3 years of experience caring for young children, with at least 2 years for those
under age 3.
Skills and Abilities:
Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Patient, nurturing, reliable, organized and responsible personality
Physical ability to lift and carry a child, play actively, and perform household tasks
Flexibility to accommodate parents' work schedules
A valid driver's license is an asset, but not required
