Nail Technician – NOC 63211 Full Time

Nails Time is a nail salon in St. John’s, with multiple convenient locations to service our customers. We are looking for dependable and highly skilled people to fill nail technician positions within either one of our salons. Start date as soon as possible.

The terms of each of the employment position is as follows:
• Full-time (35-40 hours a week), with the possibility of overtime
• Applicants must be flexible with their availability for work hours including daytime and evening hours during the week and weekends
• May work at either salon location: 38 Ropewalk Lane, St. John’s, NL or 350 Torbay Road, St. John’s, NL
• Wage will be $15.60/ hour – $18.75/ hour – negotiable depending on experience and skill
• 10 business days vacation per working year, or 4% remuneration worked into hourly wage.
• Year end bonus may be provided.

Successful applicants must have the following qualifications and skills:
• Nail Esthetician accreditation certificate from college, CEGEP or other non-university program with a duration of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent educational experience
• experience not required, but 3-5 years or more experience in a nail salon or as a nail technician is preferred
• Show high levels of organization and reliability
• Be client focused
• Give high attention to detail and accuracy
The job duties for each position are:
• Completion of manicures and pedicures
• Hand and foot massages
• Nail care: cleaning, trimming, buffing and polishing of nails
• Application of nail polish, including shellac
• Nail repair and extraction
• Application of nail extensions in acrylic, gel, powder gel, lcn gel, and solar nail sets
• Nail art: gem design application, creation of finely detailed nail polish designs, as well as creation and application of 3D designs.
