Metal Fabricator Full Time NEW

We are looking for two (2) experienced and skilled Metal Fabricators for our facility in Hamilton, Ontario. We are offering a full-time position (40 hours per week) and a salary of $28.00 per hour to every successful candidate.

The successful candidate will perform the following job duties:

• Fabricate, assemble, weld, fit and install metal components and structures.
• Work from patterns and blueprints, using a variety of tools and machines.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Use a variety of tools to work with metal.
• Operate cutting saws to cut various metals, and weld and grind fabricated structures to meet structural requirements.
• Perform detailed quality checks to ensure that it meets all standards and requirements.
• Document work and results and keep records of labor and materials used.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum five (5) years of industrial metal fabrication experience in a sugar refinery
• Welding experience or AWS certification.
• Argon specialization
• Press Brake Operator experience.
• Must be familiar with and understand the operation and repair and maintenance requirements of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, breaks and presses, tanks, boilers, and condensers.
• Must be familiar with the use of grinders and saws
• Ability to lift more than fifty pounds.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
• Ability to operate different tools, and to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
