Keel to Wheel Mechanical is seeking a Marine Technician to join our team.
Our location is at 500 14 Ave SW, Slave Lake, AB T0G 2A4.
– Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
– Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, Odours, Dangerous, Hot, In/on water, Outdoors, Wet/damp
– Work setting: On-site customer service, Marine
This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, with permanent employment. The hourly wage is CAD $38.00 with Group insurance benefits.
This is a shift schedule, including morning, evening, day, and/or weekend shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Diagnose malfunctions in marine engines, propulsion systems, and vessel mechanical and electrical systems using computerized diagnostic equipment and testing devices.
• Repair, overhaul, maintain, and replace components of inboard, outboard, sterndrive, and jet propulsion systems.
• Inspect and service fuel, cooling, steering, hydraulic, ignition, charging, and exhaust systems on recreational and commercial vessels.
• Perform preventative maintenance, seasonal commissioning, decommissioning, and winterization of marine equipment and vessels.
• Install and service marine electronics, navigation systems, batteries, gauges, controls, pumps, and related equipment.
• Conduct operational testing and sea trials to verify equipment performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare repair estimates and maintain accurate service, parts, and warranty records.
• Advise customers on repairs completed, equipment condition, maintenance schedules, and recommended corrective actions.
Requirements:
– Languages: English
– Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
– Marine Certifications and/or Manufacture training
– Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Experience and specialization:
– Equipment and machinery experience: Outboard motors
– Prior experience with marine equipment
– Familiarity with marine equipment and marine service environment
Transportation/travel information
