The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning of Domestic and International shipments. The Logistics Coordinator manages daily customer interactions for orders, coordinating with sales, operations, and trucking partners to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Strong communication with contract haulers is essential to meet industry standards.
• Manage and update the dispatch board in the company software
• Prepare Custom & Export documents
• Schedule, update and confirm customers’ requests, work statuses and availability
• Response to customer inquiries and resolve customer issues as they arise
• Perform daily tracking, filing and distribution of various time-sensitive administrative items
• Perform any other administrative duties as required by managers
• Assists with the shipping planning, coordination and oversight of the routing and scheduling.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations or trucking.
• Supply Chain, Logistics or relative field is a plus
• Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations
• 3-4 years of export experience
• Solid knowledge of logistics procedures, shipping , cross border and vessel planning
• Experience in preparing shipping documents ( CFIA documentations)
• Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Ability to follow up on pending issues
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Problem-solving abilities.
