Responsibilities
Compile orders and instructions received from customers
Develop specific plans to prioritize
Organize tasks to accomplish the work
Oversee operational logistics of the organization
Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization
Track and complete work orders
Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
Monitor personnel workloads and locations
Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units
Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
Prepare and maintain progress and other reports
Provide customer service
Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
Maintain and update delivery schedules and routes
Resolve any issues or concerns related to delivery and logistics
Track and report delivery metrics and performance to management
Prepare and process all delivery documents
Coordinate and monitor logistics of the movement of materials within the establishment and ensure that materials are delivered on schedule
Communicate regularly with other coordinators, delivery driver associates and warehouse associates
Dispatch van drivers and monitor routes to ensure schedules are met and to resolve operating problems
