Job Description:

Duties:

•Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.

•Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.

•Interview patients and record their medical history and physical condition.

•Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.

•Provides routine care for patients.

•Observe patients’ health.

•Review medical charts.

•Accompanied patients to their rooms.

•Assists physicians and registered nurses.

•Communicate with patients and their families.

•Administers medications.

•Provides wound care.

•Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.

•Assists with patient comfort at end-of-life

•Monitors and changes catheters.

Qualifications:

Completed a 2yr nursing program at an accredited college or University

Maintain a Good Standing License with the nursing governing body of the province working.

1 year of experience is required.

CPR/BLS Certifications

WHMIS

FOOD SAFE

Locations:

The candidate will be working at different locations in British Columbia.
