Legal Assistant – Immigration Full Time

We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant – Immigration to work with us. We provide a professional, dynamic, and innovative environment for individuals ready to contribute and develop their skills.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Annual Salary: $50,960
Work Hour: 35 hours/week
Work Location: 401-4538 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5H 4T9
Language Requirement: English

Job Duties:

• Assist licensed immigration consultants in preparing legal documents, including immigration forms and applications.
• Edit and review documents and correspondence, ensuring adherence to legal protocols and grammatical accuracy.
• Conduct thorough legal research and gather information for immigration cases.
• Engage with clients to collect essential documentation and provide timely updates on case progress.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation for streamlined case management and a high level of confidentiality.
• Schedule appointments and meetings for licensed immigration consultants.
• Distribute incoming phone calls and emails to ensure a smooth information flow.
• Stay abreast of dynamic changes in immigration laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Certificate or diploma from a program of at least one year or above or equivalent experience.
• Training or experience in a secretarial or legal secretarial role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge in the immigration field will be an asset.
• Strong research and organizational skills.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PDF applications.
