Lead Foreman – Rack Installer Full Time NEW

Position Summary:
The Lead Foreman will be a hands-on site leader responsible for directing daily rack installation activities while working alongside the crew. This role ensures that pallet racking and material-handling systems are installed safely, accurately, and in accordance with engineered drawings, manufacturer specifications, and Ontario health and safety regulations. The Lead Foreman acts as the primary on-site point of contact and reports progress, issues, and site conditions to project or operations management.
Salary: $37.00 per hour
Hours per Week: 40
Term of Employment: 3 years
Language required: Oral and written English
Education Required: Completion of High School and at least a one year post-secondary diploma
Work experience required: At least 3 years experience as a rack installer
Location of work: various job sites in Ontario.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate daily activities for installation crews
• Read and execute engineered drawings, layouts, and specifications
• Perform hands-on installation of racking, shelving, and mezzanine systems
• Enforce site safety requirements, conduct hazard assessments, and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment
• Verify layout accuracy, plumb/level, anchoring, and overall installation quality
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and site personnel
• Manage material staging, equipment use, and daily progress reporting
• Identify site issues and communicate solutions to management
• Support and guide crew members to maintain efficient workflow and professional standards
Qualifications & Requirements
• 5+ years of rack installation or related construction experience
• Foreman or Lead experience preferred
• Ability to read engineered drawings and work in active warehouse environments
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Certifications: Working at Heights (ON), lift equipment, WHMIS (First Aid an asset)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and travel within Ontario as required
