Job Position: Layout Surveyor
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hourly Wage: $40
Work Hour: 40 hours /week
Work Schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Actual schedule may vary depending on business needs and project requirements.
Work Location: 994 Ivsbridge Blvd, Newmarket, Ontario L3X 1N8
Work at various construction sites as required.
Language requirement: English

Our company is a leading surveying firm based in Newmarket, Ontario. Known for our commitment to quality and technical expertise, we provide highly skilled layout surveyors to support the construction and development needs of structural companies.

Now, we are looking for a permanent, full-time Layout Surveyor to join us.

Job Duties:
• Work closely with engineers to develop and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct comprehensive surveys of construction sites to gather accurate data.
• Create detailed layout drawings and reports based on survey data; communicate critical information with engineers.
• Set up and maintain control points to guide the construction process, ensuring alignment and adherence to design specifications.
• Assist in the stakeout of reference points, foundations, and structural elements to guide building process.
• Inspect construction sites to verify that the planned layout is implemented accurately and address any deviations promptly.

Qualification:
• Completion of a college diploma or training program in civil engineering technology, architecture, construction technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in construction layout, surveying, or related on-site technical work is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors and traveling to different construction sites as required.
