Position: Heavy Equipment Operator (NOC 73400)
Locations of Work: 14 MacDonald Road, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Y1A 4L2.
Salary: 40.00/hr. 40 hours a week or 8 hours a day, by the Yukon Employment Standards Board.
Schedule: 28 days work following 14 days off.

Job Requirements:
Education: Secondary school.
Language: English
Security and Safety: Drug test- Zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
Knowledge and skills required:
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• A valid driver’s license (at least 2 years of experience driving) with a clean driving record.
• Able to work extra hours during high season from April to September, and weekends.

Duties and Main responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment
• Calculate weight, distance, volume and length measurements
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
• Operate computer-controlled equipment.
• Utilize material safety data sheeds (MSDS)
• Perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
