Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Full Time

Martushev Logging Limited is looking for one (1) Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our expanding team in Whitecourt, Alberta. This position is a full-time permanent position in the English language.
Job duties include:
• Check equipment such as trucks, loaders, graders, and other heavy logging and mining equipment for proper performance and inspection
• Diagnose mechanical issues to determine type and extent of repair required
• Repair equipment by repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools
• Clean and lubricate and other routine maintenance work
• Test equipment for proper performance and to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements
• Perform repair work on heavy trucks and trailers
• Perform repair work on logging machinery and equipment
Education requirements
• Completion of secondary education (high school) or equivalent
• Completion of a three to five year apprenticeship program or a combination of over 4 years of work experience
• Direct logging industry experience is an asset
Work experience
• 3-5 years of direct heavy duty mechanic experience
• Direct logging industry experience is an asset

Wage and hours: $44.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week
