Freight Forwarding Manager Full Time

We are looking for a committed Freight Forwarder to become part of our vibrant team in Atlantic Canada. In this position, you will be essential in facilitating the efficient transportation of goods for our clients while helping us achieve our goal of providing outstanding logistics services.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate daily operations
Monitor department’s performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Prepare reports for senior management
Supervise staff of 3-4 people
Train staff
Manage finances or budget
Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit
Ensure transport compliance with regulations
Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods
Negotiate for services and preferential rates
Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue
Develop and implement marketing and advertising and sales strategies

Other requirements:
Must have own transportation, valid drivers license and willing to travel

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, materials, and supply chain management
5-10 years experience with international shipping lines, and railway transport
