JOB TITLE: Food Service Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION: Establish methods to meet work schedules. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Address customers’ complaints or concerns. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Prepare and submit reports. Establish work schedules.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in restaurant/food services management or a related area, OR equivalent experience.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong work ethic, be reliable, be a team player, and be able to walk and stand for long periods
LANGUAGE: English
EMPLOYMENT TERM: Full-time temporary (1-year initial term)
SALARY: $17.65 hourly. Overtime pay and tips available
BENEFITS: Food Discount. Medical, Dental and Life Insurance benefits available at additional costs but are not mandatory
HOURS: Full-time 30-40 hours per week. Shift work including nights, weekends, early mornings
