Job Description and Qualifications:
The Indian Bawarchi Inc. is an authentic Indian restaurant situated in St. John’s, NL, renowned for its traditional cuisine. Our restaurant offers classic dishes, dosas, curries, and South Indian specialties in a culturally rich setting. Our staff comprises of seasoned professionals dedicated to excellent customer service and delivering genuine Indian flavours. We are seeking skilled Food Counter Attendants to join our expanding team.

Job Duties:

• Take customer orders accurately in person or by phone;
• Serve food and beverages at the counter or take-out area;
• Prepare simple food items such as sandwiches, wraps, and snacks;
• Clean and sanitize counters, work areas, and equipment;
• Stock food items and supplies as required;
• Operate cash register and process payments;
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures;
• Provide courteous and efficient customer service;
• Assist other staff members as needed to ensure smooth operations; and
• Be able to work evenings, flexible hours, on call, days, weekends.

Skills (education, experience):
• Secondary education required
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Food Counter Attendant
• Indian restaurant setting work experience is highly preferred

Language of Work: English

Wage: $16.00/hour

Hours: Minimum 30 hours a week
