To achieve our goal, UNO Electric & Lighting is looking for a capable Electrical Technician to provide technical support and services in the design, development, testing and operation of electrical equipment and lighting systems.

At this position, you will be responsible for:
• Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications and reports of electrical engineering projects
• Load calculations for commercial new construction and amperage upgrades
• Design electrical equipment load calculations
• Be responsible for lighting designs and layouts including emergency lighting and exit signs layout and requirements
• Decide on fire alarm locations and requirements
• Conduct electrical home designs and layouts for new homes and constructions
• Work with after-sale support and solve installation issues onsite
• Inspect, test and adjust electronic components, calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
• Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems
• Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
• Communicate effectively with the electricians, and customers
• Conduct safety training programs on safety requirements and quality control practices of the workplace and verify protocols are properly follow WSIB guidelines.
Employment requirements:
• College diploma or above in electrical engineering
• 2 years of experience in a similar technician or supervisory role in the electrical or electronics industry
• Licensed Electrician preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
• Proven people management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Microsoft Office, ERP and/or advanced Excel skills is required. (QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate team members
• Customer service-oriented
• Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders
• Strong time management skills to work in a face-paced, multi-project environment
• Ability to delegate tasks in an effective and timely manner
• Demonstrated accountability and dependability.
