Job Title: Early Childhood Educator
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: 120-3721 Delbrook Ave, North Vancouver, BC V7N 3Z4
Working Hours: 35 hours/week
Hourly Wage: $26/hour
Job Duties:
– Observe and monitor children’s development, behavior, and well-being, and communicate progress or any concerns with parents regularly.
– Provide guidance and support to children to promote positive behavior, self-awareness, and growth.
– Maintain respectful and collaborative communication with parents, colleagues, and other team members.
– Document and maintain accurate records, including attendance, daily reports, and developmental progress of children.
– Update children’s health information and report all accidents, injuries, or illnesses promptly to the manager, and write the incident reports in the daily log book.
– Attend to children’s physical needs promptly, including toileting, diapering, eating and sleeping.
– Establish and maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment for the children.
– Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and active engagement in activities.
Employment Requirement
– Completion of a two year college program in early childhood education is required
– A valid BC ECE certificate is required.
– Familiarity with Montessori teaching strategies is preferred.
– Clean criminal record check
