Position: DRYWALL INSTALLER 73102
Term: Permanent
Job Locations: Mississauga, ON

Compensation: $36.10/ hour
Work hours: Minimum 35 to 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings
Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowels and broad knives
Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in compound
Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry before sanding
Sand and finish surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes
Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to obtain a smooth finish
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Repair and patch existing drywall surfaces

Employment Requirements:
• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• 7 Months to 1 year of Experience will be required
• Ability to work in fast-paced physically demanding and tight deadlines environment
• Team player and highly adaptive to work in culturally diverse environment
• Must have proficiency in English language both written and verbal
• This job may require handling of weights up to 50lbs
