Pasta Lupino Gourmet Ltd. is a well-established Italian restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia, specializing in fresh, house-made pasta, sauces, and classic Italian dishes prepared from scratch in a high-volume, professional kitchen environment.
Position
We are hiring a Cook to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Job duties
The Cook will perform the following duties:
• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes from scratch, including fresh pasta, sauces, soups, salads, and desserts
• Organize daily food production, including washing, cutting, portioning, and storing ingredients
• Cook dishes to order during service while maintaining quality, consistency, presentation, and portion control
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen control procedures in compliance with BC health regulations
• Assist with menu execution, seasonal specials, and recipe testing
• Maintain clean and organized workstations
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and waste reduction
• Support training of junior kitchen staff as required
Job requirements
• Completion of secondary school
• Minimum 12 months experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• FoodSafe Level 1 certification
Wage
$20.50 per hour, paid bi-monthly.
Performance-based increases may be offered based on experience and tenure.
