Deslaurier Custom Cabinets is Ottawa’s leading brand of custom cabinetry for over 40 years. With a local team and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we provide an unmatched level of quality and empower our designers to create highly customized, inspiring spaces.
We have a great working environment and offer an exciting opportunity for you to be part of our growing “Best in Class” team. Our unique approach has built a strong following with local builders, architects, designers, and homeowners.
We are looking for a full-time IMOS CAD/CAM Technician whose role will be to understand, complete and maintain our transition over to our new software IMOS ix.
Role Description:
We will be introducing IMOS ix as our new software package, requiring our catalog to be developed in the new platform.
IMOS ix is an engineering/manufacturing software designed to simplify the process of planning, designing, and producing furniture, ensuring an internal manufacturing standard. This new position will be responsible for transitioning, maintaining and continually developing our catalog using the new engineering/manufacturing software.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD or similar software, specifically within the cabinetry/millwork/woodworking industry. Having a good working knowledge of creating production drawings for joinery, woodwork, cabinetry construction, and an understanding of the manufacturing process is required. Any experience with CNC interface would be an advantage.
The candidate must have a willingness to learn, understand and work with consultants from IMOS to complete the remaining work required to ensure we can then launch this system to our team.
