Child Caregiver – Private Home Full Time

– Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
– Duration: Permanent Position
– Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week), variable hours, including some evenings and weekend. Typically but not always Monday to Friday. Two days off per week.
– Work Setting: Private home
– Languages: English essential
– Minimum Experience: Minimum 1 year of child caregiving experience
– Education: Secondary school
– Training and other requirements: First Aid/CPR
– Ages of children: 5 children aged 3 to 14 years
– Duties: Supervise and care for children; bathe, dress and feed children; organize outings plan activities for children; educational activities such as basic reading; prepare and serve 2-3 nutritious meals per day; light household duties such as tidying up after children; preparing children for rest/nap periods; pick-up and drop-off for school
– Personal suitability: Initiative; reliability; organization; flexibility
– Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks; Work under pressure; Physically demanding; Overtime requirements
– Transportation/Travel Information: Employer to pay travel expenses
