Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Child Care Provider to care for childrenin a private household in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, while supporting the emotional and developmental needs of the children.
Responsibilities
Supervise and care for children in the employer’s home
Change diapers and assist with toilet training
Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
Prepare formulas and sterilize bottles
Organize activities such as games and outings to support development
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social skills
Discipline children according to parental guidelines
Maintain a safe, healthy, non-smoking, and scent-free environment
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Keep daily records of activities and health information
Qualifications
Language: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: at least 7 months in a similar role
Certifications:
CPR Certificate
First Aid Certificate
Working Conditions
Physically demanding and involves repetitive tasks
Attention to detail required
Must be comfortable handling weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Work hours may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and flexible schedules
Transportation
Public transportation is available
