Carpenter (Concrete Formwork & Finishing) Full Time NEW

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with concrete formwork and finishing experience to join our growing commercial construction team. The successful candidate will perform a combination of structural carpentry and concrete work on active job sites.

Job Duties

Construct, erect, and dismantle concrete formwork for footings, walls, slabs, and curbs

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications

Place, level, and finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools (trowels, floats, screeds)

Prepare and grade sub-base materials prior to concrete placement

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and site layouts

Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations

Perform repairs and modifications to existing concrete structures when required

Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe worksite

Employment Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Carpenter

Minimum 2 years of experience in concrete forming and finishing

Experience in commercial construction projects

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Physically capable of performing demanding labour (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)

Valid driver’s license is considered an asset

Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems and finishing techniques
