Fix My Brick is hiring 8 experienced Bricklayer Helpers for seasonal, full-time positions.
Wage: $27.00–$30.00 per hour, to be negotiated
Hours: 30–44 hours per week
Employment: Seasonal, full-time
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Mount Hope, ON, with work at various construction sites
Work Arrangement: On site
Requirements
3 years to less than 5 years of relevant construction experience
No degree, certificate or diploma required
English
Steel-toed safety boots
WHMIS Certificate
Fall Arrest Protection Training
Working at Heights training
Duties
Load, unload and transport construction materials
Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
Mix, pour and spread construction materials
Level earth to fine-grade specifications
Clean and pile salvaged materials
Perform routine maintenance work
Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites
Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies
Equipment Experience
Experience using:
Reciprocating saws
Circular saws
Concrete saws
Mortar and concrete mixers
Grinding machines
Grouting machines
Jackhammers
Drills
Work Environment
Work is performed outdoors and may involve working at heights and in noisy, dusty or hot conditions.
The position is physically demanding and involves repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, handling heavy loads up to approximately 23 kg / 50 lbs, hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
