Bricklayer Full Time
We are seeking a newcomer or newly immigrated skilled and reliable Bricklayer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience and a Secondary (high) school diploma to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of masonry techniques, construction methods, and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Work locations will vary, and frequent travel between job sites is required. Operate hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment safely. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional bricklaying experience. Strong understanding of masonry construction techniques and materials. Ability to read and interpret technical documents. Proficiency with masonry tools and equipment. Valid driver’s license (preferred).
Tasks:
Tasks will include reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to complete layout and measurement requirements for masonry work. Laying bricks, blocks, and stone to construct or repair walls, partitions, chimneys, foundations, and other structures. Preparing and applying mortar, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and finishing of masonry units. Must also be prepared to assist with repairs, restoration work, and finishing details as required. The employee must be able to coordinate with co-workers, other contractors, and homeowners regarding project plans and adjustments.
Work locations will vary throughout the GTA, and travel to different job sites is required. Own transportation is required.
Work Site Environment:
Construction sites requiring full safety equipment. Conditions may include loud, dusty environments and working at heights. Work may take place in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Estimated 40 hours per week. Employment conditions may include weekdays and weekends.
