Job Summary
The Bar Manager leads the beverage and lounge operations within a high end, boutique, full service hotel environment, overseeing Regner’s Tudor Lounge at the Insignia Hotel. This role is responsible for delivering a premium, hospitality driven guest experience for hotel travellers, corporate clients, and event or wedding attendees. Success in this position requires expertise in elevated service standards, stewardship of high value inventory, and the ability to adapt operations to a non regular clientele with fluctuating demand influenced by hotel occupancy, conferences, and local or regional events.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership: Plan, organize, direct, and control the daily operations of Regner’s Tudor Lounge to ensure Marriott aligned premium service standards and Legacy Eateries Inc. brand expectations are consistently met.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate bar and lounge staff, including creating work schedules, monitoring performance, and coaching team members to embody Legacy’s culture of professionalism, hospitality, and enthusiasm.
• Data-Driven Scheduling: Analyze POS data to optimize labor scheduling during peak Sarnia-Lambton events and high-occupancy hotel dates.
• Beverage Program Engineering: Design and implement high-margin beverage programs, including craft cocktails and curated wine lists, tailored to a sophisticated clientele.
• Inventory Control: Oversee procurement, inventory management, vendor relationships, and quality assurance for high value beverage stock, ensuring accurate tracking, cost control, and minimal waste.
• Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison for AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) audits and ensure all bar operations comply with provincial liquor regulations, licensing requirements, and corporate policies.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop and enforce internal “Responsible Service” protocols that exceed standard Smart Serve requirements to mitigate liability risks in a high-end environment.
• Customer Excellence: Address and resolve guest concerns promptly while maintaining exceptional service standards for corporate clients, elite tier hotel guests, and event/wedding attendees, ensuring a consistently elevated guest experience.
Employment Requirements
• Education: A College Diploma or University Degree in Business or Hospitality Management is required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of Bar management experience at a Premium Distinctive Marriott Hotel.
• Analytical Ability: Demonstrated experience in using POS data for labor optimization and scheduling based on fluctuating hotel occupancy and regional events.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of AGCO regulations and experience managing provincial compliance audits
• Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to manage operations with non-regular clientele and fluctuating demand (hotel-based hospitality).
• Language Requirement: English
