Position: Automotive Mechanic Helper

Term: Full-time, permanent (30-40 hours per week), Day, Early Morning, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning, Weekend

Education

Completion of secondary school or high school diploma

Experience: Two to three years relevant work experience in an automotive service (mechanic) workshop performing, and working in areas including installation, maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities:

Move tools, equipment and other materials
Signal safety procedures to other workers and to the general public
Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed
Clean machines and immediate work areas

Other Requirements:

– Able to obtain driver’s license
-Driver’s abstract
-Ability to use computer and Microsoft Office package

Physically demanding
Manual dexterity
Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work under pressure

May be required to work at multiple locations in Edmonton.
