Job Duties:
As an Automotive Electronic Accessory Technician at Master Mechanic, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks. Your duties include, but are not limited to:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electronic accessories and systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, scan tools, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Install, remove, and replace electronic accessories such as audio/video systems, navigation units, remote starters, security systems, sensors, and related components.
• Program, flash, and code electronic modules and accessories (e.g., BCM, infotainment systems) following OEM specifications.
• Perform and system calibrations for accessory integration.
• Inspect, test, and repair wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, relays, and circuits associated with electronic accessories; fabricate harness sections when required.
• Interpret OEM wiring diagrams and service manuals to ensure proper installation and functionality of accessories.
• Complete diagnostic and installation reports, maintain accurate repair records, and follow shop safety procedures.
• Operate specialized diagnostic and programming tools, including those owned by the technician, to ensure precise accessory integration.
• Assist with general automotive electrical repairs related to accessory systems and maintain a safe work environment.
• Stay up to date with current industry best practices.
• Ensure proper care and longevity of equipment.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
• Valid Ontario 310K Automotive Electronic Accessory Technician Certificate (mandatory)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive electronic accessory technician
• Experience with programming, updating, and replacing electronic control modules (ECM/ECU)
• Familiarity with OEM diagnostic tools and software platforms
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Understanding of automotive electrical systems and communication networks
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift/Days of work: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm

Benefits: Extended health benefits
Wages: $45/hr for minimum 30 hours per week – Overtime pay as per Ontario ESA
