Primary Responsibilities:
• Organizing and delivering all weekly catering orders
• Assisting the catering coordinator in weekly order entries ensuring’ accuracy and client expectations
• Weekly catering revenue meetings, and conference reviews
• Supervision of staff, and events in the absence of the catering coordinator
• Monthly inventory counts of all bar supplies including but not limited to spirits, wine, and beer/coolers. Catering smallware’s, cutlery, and plateware.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or catering smallware’s required for running a successful catering department
• Performs other duties assigned by the catering coordinator, or food service director.
Location: Mount St. Vincent Campus, 166 Bedford Hwy, Halifax, NS B3M 2J6
Workplace Information : On site at a university location. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Pay rate: $21.95/hour

Duration: 1-year full-time contract
Hours: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week (can work up to 48 hours per week depending on business levels)
Languages: English essential
Required Education: Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management. Responsible beverage service certification..
Required Experience: >1 year of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience.
