We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Job Duties:
• Maintain and manage financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Record transactions and expenses, maintaining precise financial documentation.
• Prepare and submit financial reports.
• Prepare cheques for payrolls timely.
• Prepare government remittances (GST, PST, and payroll taxes).
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Perform other bookkeeping duties as required.
Qualifications:
• A high school diploma is required.
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field, or two years of a recognized professional accounting program, or relevant coursework with extensive experience as a financial or accounting clerk is required.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks of Sage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
