At Riggit Services Inc., we design, build and install innovative rigging systems that suspend objects for concerts, exhibitions, live events and film productions. Riggit Services Inc. is currently seeking one hard working and self-motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Corporate Head Rigger. The ideal candidate is an ETCP Certified Rigger and must be physically able to perform the duties of the job.

Job Duties
Training/Retention
-Manage training of riggers of all levels is being provided, on a regular basis, to ensure a consistent level of work is being performed.
-Manage training program for riggers of all levels, to ensure a consistent level of work is being performed.
-Audit the performance of riggers of all levels
-Work with Arena Head Rigger to create and maintain training plan, improvements, hierarchy, recruitment, retention, and discipline of all riggers
-Perform quality assurance audits of rigging installations
Policy and Procedure
-Develop and maintain maintenance system for RIGGIT inventory
-Develop, review & Maintain rigging policies and procedures, in regards to: lights, sets, and other stage equipment
-Review equipment used on corporate events and recommend changes/upgrades/replacements/additions
-Audit rigging equipment to ensure adherence to RIGGIT’s rigging standards
-Review design & drawings (CADD, Vectorworks, Braceworks)
-Maintain specifications & info about all commonly used rig equipment (onsite)
Show Specifications
-On-site rigging of, lights, audio, video, LED screens, sets, backdrops, and other stage equipment
-Site visits for venue and gig specs
-Review venue rigging points/structure to identify issues
-Work with reps to design and implement rigging plans & inform reps of any issues/challenges arising from the work site and/or Employees
-Liaise w/ reps/Mgr Rigging Ops /Ops Mgr/of any regularly used non- RIGGIT equipment issues
-Work w/clients to achieve their goals in a timely and safe manner and to bring concepts to reality, both structurally and aesthetically
-Review and create Point load plans for corporate events

-Participate on Special Projects
-Design & manage the build of custom equipment.
-Terms of Employment: Full time (40 hrs/week), permanent position with hourly wage
-Language of Work: English
-Wage: $40.50 – $49.50/hr
Benefits Offered: Extended benefits package: Premiums are shared 50/50 with staff. Life insurance, Long Term Disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, medical /paramedical and dental plan (80/50).
Bonus plan is based on revenue and is shared equally amongst all eligible staff every 6 months.
RRSP is an employer match dollar for dollar to a max of $2000/yr.

-4 years minimum post secondary training (related theatre/corporate/arena training)
Education:

-PC and Mac user interface experience
