The Village Mall Medical Clinic is a Group Practice with 6 full time and 3 part time physicians. We employ 8 – 10 people as office staff. The mall has ample parking.We are located in an extremly busy area and next to Shoppers Drug Mart. Most Physicians at the clinic are affiliated with the Red Deer Primary Care Network. Doctors at the clinic with Hospital Privileges, look after their own patient when they are admitted to the Red Deer Regional Hosptial. Weekends are covered by one Physician at a time, On a one in four ratio Hours sat 10-3 sun 10-3
We use Wolf/Telus EMR. No call and no obstetrics required. Up to six weeks of holiday/yr. Scheduled weekday walk-in shifts including some evening work and approximately one weekend per month.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
In order to be able able apply for this posting must be able to register with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta as Family Medical Doctor.
Required Experience and Certifications • Recent experience (within the last 24 months) of independent Family Medicine practice where the physician has been the Most Responsible Physician for a wide range of Family Medicine patients.
Applicants have to be fluent in English.

Retention Benefit – supports and promotes the retention of physicians in Alberta by rewarding their continuous years of service to Albertans. Physicians receive between $4,840 and $12,100 depending on their years of service to Albertans.
Rural, Remote, Northern Program (RRNP) – Please note, payments through the RRNP are capped at $60,000 per physician per year.
Medical Liability Reimbursement – reimburses physicians for their medical liability protection costs less a $1,000 deductible.
Continuing Medical Education – reimburses physicians for eligible continuing medical education costs. Each eligible physician receives a $2,656 annual allotment which can be carried forward for up to three years.
Parental Leave Program – provides $1,063 per week for up to 17 weeks to physician parents of a newborn or newly adopted child.
Business Cost Program – addresses escalating practice costs in community based practices. This fee modifier is added automatically to select office visits and consultations. This program applies across the province and all physicians who provide visit services in an office based setting will receive an additional $2.75 with the exception of Calgary and Airdrie where the fee modifier is $3.25 on select office visits and consultations.
