Supervisor, Heavy Equipment Operators Full Time

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Worksite environment:
Dusty, Noisy, Odours, Outdoors.
Relocation costs not covered by employer, willing to relocate.

Work setting: Demolition, Drilling.

Equipment operation: Excavation, Grading.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Oversee apprenticeship training
Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
Co-ordinate and schedule activities
Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Establish methods to meet work schedules
Recommend personnel actions
Supervise workers and projects
Train or arrange for training

Supervision:
3-4 people, Apprentices, Drillers – (Surface mining or quarrying or construction)
Heavy equipment operators, except crane, Labourers, Trades helpers

Experience and specialization.
Type of industry experience: Construction, Independently owned business.

Valid driver’s licence

Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Overtime required, Tight deadlines, Work under pressure.

Steel-toed safety boots.
