Mars Canada Industrial Engineering Co-op Experience

As a Mars Canada Co-op, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

• Help implement site improvement projects and kaizens to enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) especially The Reliability Score (TRS) and to contribute with loss elimination
• Work with the Site IE Lead to run Kaizens, SMED activities
• Collaborate with multiple teams Including Operations, Reliability, Quality and Safety.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Conduct and coordinate time studies and analysis to identify and quantify opportunities or shortfalls in the value stream and/or direct cost financial performance.
• Provide analysis and data on bottleneck capacity for each process function for evaluation of potential capacity constraints.
• Perform a key role in the team process of setting line performance standards, e.g., KPI’s (ATS, TRS, MTBS) and line capacity impacting short- and long-term delivery of safety, quality, customer service, and cost deliverables.
• Conduct and coordinate studies and analysis to identify and quantify process and product quality and/or capacity constraints and opportunities to increase throughput.
• This position and all site associates are responsible for quality and food safety of products at the site.
• Drive the Focused Improvement Pillar forward through the Supply Excellence Program.
