Live Out In Home Caregiver Position Training Provided
$20/hr for equivalent of 30 hours per week (one 24 hour shift weekly paid at a rate of $265.00 per shift and additional shorter shift paid at hourly rate.
Applicants must speak clear English and be willing to complete CPR/first aid training and obtain a criminal record check. This position is caring for a young female adult who is non verbal and uses a wheelchair. Job description includes light cleaning, personal care and feeding. All necessary training/ equipment provided. Community inclusion is an important part of this position. Caregiver will plan outings and activities and connections with others, for example taking client swimming weekly when the pools are opened. This client is a vulnerable individual and at this time we are keeping social distancing protocols with a few community connections and will increase/decrease restrictions as needed. We are looking for someone who is like minded and will follow the provincial guidelines and recommendations. Located in Nanaimo BC, V9R5P4. Two year Contract with potential for renewal.
