Pay: $20 per hour. The pay will remain the prevailing wage throughout the contract time.
Schedule is 40 hours per week:
Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM & 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Flexibility in the schedule is required due to the nature of our work.
Overtime will apply after 40 hours per week.
Job Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and responsible Home Child Care Worker / Nanny to provide in home care for two children, ages 6 and 9. The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and structured environment while supporting their daily routines, learning, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and provide attentive care to children in the home
• Assist with daily routines, including dressing, hygiene, and meal preparation
• Organize educational and recreational activities such as reading, crafts, and games
• Ensure a safe and healthy home environment, following household guidelines
• Support emotional well-being and social development through positive interactions
• Follow parental guidance on discipline and behavior management
• Transport children to and from school, activities, or appointments as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to childcare
• Keep records of daily activities, meals, and any health-related concerns
Qualifications & Skills
• Completion of a training program in childcare or a related field preferred
• Experience in childcare or a related field, this may include practicum time
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently while following care plans
• First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory
