Live-in Caregiver – persons with disabilities Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Caregiver to assist with two senior adults with disabilities and high medical needs located in Vancouver, BC. This is a full-time, permanent position. The live-in requirement is an option. Free in-home accommodation will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include working with two senior adults with disabilities, such as Dementia and high medical needs; providing personal support such as bathing, personal hygiene, dressing and undressing and day to day life skills; undertaking laundry and light housekeeping duties; supervise and assist with daily living needs on a daily basis; attending to the emotional well-being and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home.

Requirements
Completion of high school is required. Must have completed a related training program or have the equivalent of at least one year experience working with elderly persons with disabilities and high medical need requirements. Must have strong English communication (reading, writing, speaking) skills and First Aid/CPR certification. Must be able to pass a Criminal Records Check. Must be willing to work flexible hours during the week and weekend.

Salary & Benefits
The position pays $23.00 per hour, based on a 40 hour work week. Benefits include free accommodation, transportation costs, medical and dental insurance, vision care and be entitled to 4% paid annual vacation.
