Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide in-home care for an elderly family member. The successful candidate will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and provide companionship to ensure a safe and comfortable home environment.

Duties

Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing

Provide assistance with mobility and transfers

Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Administer medications as directed

Perform light housekeeping duties (laundry, cleaning, tidying)

Accompany to medical appointments

Monitor and report changes in health condition

Provide companionship and emotional support

Maintain a safe and healthy home environment

Employment Requirements

Secondary school completion required

Completion of a caregiver training program OR

At least 1 year of related caregiving experience

First Aid and CPR certification (asset)

Ability to communicate in English

Criminal record check required

Work Setting

Private residence

Combination of sitting, standing, walking
